Road Construction Projects 2025
Road construction and utility relocations will create additional traffic congestion starting in mid-April. We will provide updated information on this webpage. A quicker source of information will be on the Town’s phone app. Search for Our Town Bristol Indiana, download the app and sign in. It’s a free service and will provide you with most recent and up to date construction information.
NIPSCO will begin installing new poles along Ponderosa Drive soon. We expect some traffic restrictions for the duration of the installation.
NIPSCO’s gas line installation is progressing well on SR 120 west of Town. Before they complete this phase of the project and move to the downtown phase, the Ponderosa Drive installations are expected to be complete. Downtown traffic congestion will be a driving factor as lane restrictions will be in place for several weeks. Utilizing the marked alternate routes should be your best choice to navigate around the construction zone.
On May 27th the SR 13 bridge over the Toll Road will be closed for reconstruction. The closure will last until October. The Toll Road interchange will only be accessible from the north. Exiting the Toll Road to travel south on SR 13 will not be possible. Traveling north on SR 13 to access the Toll Road will not be possible. While local detour routes have not been identified by INDOT or the Toll Road, we expect to see increased traffic through Bristol to access the toll road during the construction period
